Would you know what to do? Talking about fires can be scary because no one likes to think about people getting hurt or their things getting burned. But you can feel less worried if you are prepared.

(3) TRAFFIC
SAFETY

TRAFFIC SCHOOL FOR KIDS. Site has variety of activities and animated movies explaining road signs, other road safety rules. Students may find it difficult getting around the site. Students need to be taught how to access variety of activities in this site.


(4) A2bsafely


A2bsafely.com is a site that takes you from home to various community locations, e.g. a store. There are 4 different levels. Along the way a video, sound and map tell students things to watch out for and the road safety rules. This site takes a while to download and is specific to the United Kingdom, but many aspects are applicable to Calgary. A good site for students to visit and interact with

The Bodies vs Boffo, sponsored by Milk. Good elementary health videos and games for students covering topics such as nutrition and good foods.


(6) ROAD SAFETY


Renault Safety Matters. Seven various games focusing on street safety. Reading is required. Grade 1 � 2 level skill.

Good instruction with photos for: Brushing your teeth, Doing the washing, Healthy living, Anti-social behavior, Making tea, Safety in the home, and more.

On the smoke alarm page, there are sounds to help desensitize children who might fear the noise. Good graphics but student must read the material presented. Reading skills required for this site.

Safe-T-Rider interactive program. Student must fill in some information before program starts. Parents should help student with this. A privacy policy is available for parents to view. Good animation. Site may take a few moments to load.
