PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: A Life Skills Program focuses on everyday skills for Special Education Students: personal/social skills, hygiene, independent life skills such as cooking and clothing care, work competencies, and functional academics. These skills are essential for special education students to learn as they provide the basis for and facilitate transition from school to life in the "real world". Learning life skills are best done "by doing". "We learn by doing."
